Lahore: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has described Asif Ali Zardari as a symbol of stability in the country’s politics and said that “if he was not in the presidency, the current democratic system would not have lasted even for six months.”

Addressing a ceremony, he said that political opponents should consider his role in the country before criticizing Zardari. “This is the same personality who made more than 13 visits to China and gave a new dimension to Pak-China relations.”

According to Saleem Haider, a major reason for the military success with India is the cooperation of China, which was made possible by Zardari’s diplomacy. According to former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, it is absolutely correct to call Asif Zardari the ‘King of Reconciliation.’

He said that in the current political conflict, there is a dire need for a conciliatory mindset like Zardari’s so that the institutions and the people can get on the same page.
