Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the remarkable success of the Independent Group in the Islamabad Bar Council and Punjab Bar Council elections.
In a statement issued, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to all the successful candidates, including Ahsan Bhawan, and said that the legal community has always been at the forefront of strengthening democracy in the country, providing justice and protecting public rights.
He said that those who voted on principle have been rewarded for their hard work in the form of success today. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the newly elected representatives would discharge their duties with integrity, dedication and professionalism.
PM Shahbaz Sharif further said that the government is in close touch with the legal community, and the Law Minister is actively working to resolve their issues. He expressed hope that the new leadership will play its active role for the judiciary and the rule of law.
