The Supreme Court took the additional registrar’s contempt of court case off their daily schedule.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan took the contempt of court action against its Additional Registrar off its active case list. The Supreme Court Registrar’s Office declared through a notice that tomorrow’s hearing will not move ahead.

Additional Registrar Judicial Nazar Abbas lost his administrative position because of disciplinary actions and became an OSD official through Supreme Court procedures. The Additional Registrar Administration issued an office order that required Nazar Abbas to return to the Registrar’s Office until they decide his next steps.

The court statement explains that Nazar Abbas lost his position because of a critical mistake. The Supreme Court ordered the Registrar to investigate this incident and respond accordingly.

The Supreme Court demonstrates its readiness to hold staff accountable when it makes these decisions.
