Sargodha: Reacting strongly to the results of the Senate election and political manipulation, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the country’s major political parties have played a shameful role.
He said that the public will have to understand the true face of the politicians’ light-heartedness. The attempt to seize local government institutions in Punjab is a follow-up of Sindh, which Jamaat-e-Islami will not accept under any circumstances.
Hafiz Naeem said that Jamaat-e-Islami has announced to launch a nationwide movement against inflation. He said that 244 billion rupees have been taken out of the pockets of the public in the form of electricity bills alone.
He added:
- The condition of farmers has worsened
- Agriculture is being destroyed, and the government is indifferent
- An immediate reduction in the prices of petroleum products and electricity is necessary
