Islamabad: In his address for Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for national unity and a strengthened defense. Speaking at a independence ceremony in Islamabad, he urged all political parties and civil society to come together and sign the “Charter for Stability of Pakistan.”
He also announced the creation of the Army Rocket Force, a new military branch that will manage Pakistan’s missile capabilities, bolstering the nation’s defense.
PM concluded his speech by unveiling the Bunyan-e-Marsous memorial, a tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
He emphasized that this Independence Day should be a time to move beyond political differences and work together for a more secure and prosperous future.
