Islamabad: This time Pakistan Post took a special initiative on the occasion of its 78th Independence Day by issuing a commemorative postage stamp, which not only promotes national spirit but also refreshes the memory of the country’s history and defense achievements.
The new commemorative stamp is priced at Rs 30 and features the colors of the national flag along with the symbol of the victory of the Pakistan Army in the ‘Marka-e-Haq’. Along with this, elements representative of the country’s defense capabilities have also been beautifully designed.
This is a valuable addition for philatelists (stamp collectors).
This stamp is also available for general citizens in every major post office, such as: Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
On the occasion of Independence Day,
All Central General Post Offices were specially decorated with national flags and lights, creating a festive and united atmosphere. In addition, various events were organized at post offices across the country, such as flag hoisting, national song competitions and art exhibitions, which helped make the festival more memorable.
Issuing commemorative stamps on the occasion of Independence Day is a long-standing and trusted practice of Pakistan Post, which aims to preserve important national occasions and bring them closer to the common man.
