ISLAMABAD: An extraordinary general meeting of PIA Holding Company was held in Islamabad on October 25 regarding the restructuring of the national airline, in which a key decision was taken regarding the future of the company’s engineering division.
The meeting decided that the Precision Engineering Department will be handed over to PECPL, a subsidiary of the Pakistan Air Force. This transfer will be formally implemented from May 1, 2025, under the “Scheme of Arrangement”.
The shareholders unanimously approved the decision, which is being described as an important milestone towards reforms in the management structure of PIA.
This move will help promote transparency, technical efficiency and stability in the operational matters of the national airline
