Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his latest statement, has once again warned groups spreading fake news and said that sharing misleading content on social media will not provide any legal protection for people living abroad. He said that state institutions will respond strongly to false campaigns.
Speaking at a press conference, the Interior Minister claimed that illegal Afghan nationals were being provided security at the local level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is a clear violation of federal policy. He stressed that decisions related to national security are applicable to the entire country and no province can deviate from it.
He said that the government has decided to give full responsibility to SHOs to make the process of repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals more stringent and effective. Every police station will have to identify and ensure the expulsion of illegal persons present in its area.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the involvement of Afghan nationals in several attacks in the country is worrying, and the current policy is aimed solely at strengthening security.
Commenting on the recent statements of Afghan Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Baradar, he said that critical comments on history will not be beneficial. Pakistan expects Afghanistan to stop terrorist networks present on its soil and give a clear response to our concerns.
