Karachi — Due to limited availability of LNG in the country, there is a possibility of a change in the gas supply system during Ramadan.

According to sources, Sui Southern Gas Company has prepared a new schedule to provide convenience to consumers, under which gas supply will be ensured during the important times of Iftar and Sehri.
Sources say that the company has decided to re-implement last year’s Ramadan schedule because this schedule provided better convenience to consumers.

According to the proposed schedule, gas will be available during Iftar from 3 pm to 9:30 pm. Similarly, gas supply during Sehri will continue from 3 am to 9 am.

Company officials say that the aim of this move is to make better use of limited gas resources and provide convenience to domestic consumers during the crucial cooking times.

They said that the demand for gas increases significantly during Ramadan compared to normal days as more food is prepared in homes for Iftar and Sehri.
For this reason, a strategy is being adopted to ensure gas supply at specific times so that maximum consumers can benefit.

According to sources, this new schedule will be officially announced soon and the public will be fully informed about it.
Energy experts say that in the current situation, this decision can prove to be a practical solution as it will help distribute the limited quantity of gas in a better way.

According to experts, if consumers also exercise caution in using gas, it will reduce the pressure on the entire system and the supply process can be further improved.
The authorities have appealed to the public to be responsible in using gas and avoid unnecessary use so as to avoid any major crisis during Ramadan.

The new gas schedule expected during Ramadan will not only provide convenience to consumers but will also help ensure better gas management despite the limited availability of LNG.
