Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s tough stance, warning of attacks if US bases in the region are not closed



Tehran: Iran’s new Supreme Leader Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, while releasing his first audio message after assuming office, has taken a tough stance on the political and security situation in the region.


In his message, he said that the blood of Iran’s martyrs will not go in vain and the country will take every possible step to protect its sovereignty and national interests.


He said that the support of the Iranian people is the real strength of the leadership and that no leader can fulfill his responsibilities without the people.


Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei said that the world has seen that the Iranian nation is a great and courageous nation that confronts difficulties head on.


Regarding the US military bases in the region, he said that they should be closed immediately. According to him, if these bases remain, they can be targeted.


He also made it clear that Iran wants friendly relations with its neighboring countries, however, tensions can persist wherever American troops are present.


The Iranian Supreme Leader said that the unity of the Iranian people is the greatest force against the enemy. He said that Iran will avenge the blood of all its martyrs, especially the martyrs of the Manab School.


According to political observers, this message of the new Iranian Supreme Leader is being considered important in the context of the ongoing tensions in the region and its effects may also have an impact on world politics.
