Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and chairman Imran Khan has announced a new date for nationwide protest on August 14. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan has addressed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, especially Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and said that if they fail to stop the operation, they should consider their future.
Describing the ongoing operations against PTI workers in the province as a hate campaign against the party, Imran Khan said that these issues should be resolved through jirgas.
Aleema Khan further said that the PTI founder met his wife Bushra Bibi and sister Uzma Khan in jail and thanked Allah.
Imran Khan appreciated the past protests of the people and said that despite oppression, pressure and injustice, people came out for their rights, which is welcome.
He said that today the rule of law has ended in the country and the media is being suppressed, it is necessary to make sacrifices for the sake of freedom.
