ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Iran expressed its determination by targeting the US base in Qatar after the US attack, and this action was completed in a dignified manner. He said that the Iran-Israel ceasefire has been effective so far and any major conflict in the region has been avoided.
During a news conference in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that during the Iranian president’s speech, the parliamentarians thanked Pakistan with slogans in his favor.
He said that as a result of Pakistan’s strenuous efforts in the recent OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting, a special session was called on the issue of Iran, while a meeting of the OIC Contact Group on occupied Kashmir was also possible.
The Foreign Minister said that the Turkish President displayed special warmth during the meeting, which reflected the friendly relations between the two countries.
He recalled that Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey were the founders of the RCD (Regional Cooperation for Development) in the past, which was later transformed into ECO, and this organization gave a new direction to economic and diplomatic cooperation in the region.
