HEC Set to Roll Out Paperless Degree Attestation System by June 2026

Lahore – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is all set to revolutionize the academic verification process in Pakistan by introducing a paperless, blockchain-powered attestation platform.

The initiative, finalized through a partnership with CMPak and Wibbow Technologies, aims to replace the traditional, cumbersome process of physical attestation. Under the new regime, applicants will no longer be required to visit HEC regional centers or courier original documents for verification.

”The digital shift is part of our commitment to facilitate students and enhance the credibility of Pakistani credentials globally.” — HEC Representative

Features of the New System:

  • Online Tracking: A dedicated dashboard for students to monitor their application status.
  • Faster Turnaround: Digital processing is expected to cut down verification time significantly.
  • Efficiency: Automated sharing of verified data with international universities and organizations.

The HEC has confirmed that the technical infrastructure is being prioritized to meet the June 30, 2026 launch date, marking a significant step in the country’s digital transformation journey.
