Flooding risks due to heavy rains, citizens advised to be careful

Islamabad: The Meteorological Department has warned that heavy and torrential rains will begin in different parts of the country from August 13, which is likely to continue until next week. Deputy Director Irfan Virk said that heavy rains in many areas of Punjab, Islamabad and Rawalpindi are likely to cause waterlogging in low-lying areas and affect urban life.

Although the rain that occurred late last night in Lahore has made the weather pleasant, the Meteorological Department has warned of more rains and possible urban flooding in the next 24 hours.

Citizens have been instructed to stay away from electrical installations, avoid unnecessary travel, and monitor the drainage system during rain.
