A new phase of development in Lahore: Maryam Nawaz directs to accelerate the pace of Phase II project

Lahore: The Punjab government has started practical progress on a major project to redevelop Lahore. A detailed briefing was given on the Development Plan Phase Two in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which a schedule for making every neighbourhood of the city organised and modern was presented.

According to the plan, 6,284 streets will be upgraded during Phase Two. Out of these, 5,798 streets come under the Municipal Corporation, while 486 streets come under WASA. The target has been set to complete all the work by June 30 next year.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz clearly said that there will be no compromise on quality in development works and no kind of delay will be tolerated.
She said that the process of making Lahore a modern, clean and safe city is progressing at a rapid pace, and after Phase Two, “every neighbourhood will become a symbol of pride for residents.”
