Today the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) suffered a significant decline as the Benchmark 100 Index dropped an alarming 1,904 points and closed at 114,148 points. With the 100 Index moving inside a 3,903-point range across the day, this large decline marks a very volatile trading day.
Recording deals for 1.9 billion shares, trading activity had a total value of Rs 32.46 billion. The market capitalisation also dropped sharply, declining by Rs 204 billion to land at Rs 14,316 billion.
This noteworthy decline demonstrates investor bearish attitude, which causes worries about possible market volatility.
