Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has announced the issuance of a special Rs 75 commemorative coin to mark the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations with China, which is being described as a symbol of bilateral friendship, trust and long-standing cooperation.
According to a press release issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, this special coin will be available to the public from May 25, 2026, through various field offices of the State Bank. The announcement said that the aim of this initiative is to highlight the historical importance of Pak-China relations and pay tribute to the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries.
According to the central bank, Pakistan and China established diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951, after which the relations between the two countries continued to strengthen. Pakistan was among the first Muslim countries in the world to establish formal diplomatic relations with China.
Special design and symbolic message have been given importance in the preparation of this commemorative coin. The national flags of Pakistan and China are prominently displayed on the coin, while the text “75th Anniversary of Pakistan and China Diplomatic Relations” is written in English.
Similarly, the words “75 Years of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations” and “Trust, Friendship, Support” are also inscribed on the coin in Urdu and Chinese, which reflect the strong relations between the two countries.
According to officials, the coin is made in a round shape, and its edges are made with a special design. The obverse of the coin features a crescent and a star, while the reverse features the flags of both countries and the beautiful symbolic number “75”.
Economic experts say that such commemorative coins not only become a part of national history but also highlight the importance of historical awareness and diplomatic relations among the public. According to them, Pakistan-China relations are considered a unique example in global politics and regional cooperation.

Experts said that defence, economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has further strengthened in recent years, while the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has created new opportunities for development projects and investment in Pakistan.
According to analysts, this special coin will also be a historical monument for the new generation, which will be remembered as a symbol of the decades-long friendship between Pakistan and China. Experts say that in the future, relations between the two countries will further expand in the economic, industrial and technological sectors.
