📖 Surah Al-Baqarah
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:16-18)أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الضَّلَالَةَ بِالْهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَارَتُهُمْ وَمَا کَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ ١٦
یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے ہدایت کے بدلے گمراہی خرید لی، پس نہ تو ان کی تجارت نے نفع دیا اور نہ ہی وہ ہدایت پانے والے ہوئے۔
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has not profited them, nor were they guided.
مَثَلُهُمْ کَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَکَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ ١٧
ان کی مثال اس شخص کی سی ہے جس نے (اندھیری رات میں) آگ جلائی، پھر جب اس آگ نے اس کے آس پاس کی سب چیزوں کو روشن کر دیا تو اللہ نے ان کا نورِ (بصارت) سلب کر لیا اور انہیں اندھیروں میں چھوڑ دیا کہ اب وہ کچھ نہیں دیکھتے۔
Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.
صُمٌّ بُکْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ١٨
وہ بہرے ہیں، گونگے ہیں، اندھے ہیں، پس اب وہ (راہِ راست کی طرف) نہیں لوٹیں گے۔
Deaf, dumb and blind – so they will not return [to the right path].
📜 Today’s Hadith
Sahih al-Bukhari 8 / Book 2, Hadith 1بُنِيَ الإِسْلاَمُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلاَةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّکَاةِ، وَالْحَجِّ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ
اسلام کی بنیاد پانچ چیزوں پر رکھی گئی ہے: اس بات کی گواہی دینا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، نماز قائم کرنا، زکوٰۃ ادا کرنا، حج کرنا، اور رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔
Islam is based on (the following) five (principles): To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger, to offer the prayers dutifully and perfectly, to pay Zakat, to perform Hajj, and to observe fast during the month of Ramadan.
