In Pakistan, the prices of gold were increased on Monday the 20th January, 2025 and the change is in accordance to the fluctuations of the international gold market. 24K gold per tola was priced at Rs. 282,100; 22K gold was Rs. 258,590, 21K gold was for Rs 246,838 and 18K gold was Rs 211,575. Assuming a purchase of 10 grams the prices were 24K gold at Rs. 241,800, 22K gold at Rs. 221,648, 21K gold at Rs. 211, 575 and 18 K gold at Rs. 181350. In respect of grams, 24K gold was traded at Rs. 24,180 while in respect of ounces the price broke Rs. 685,500.
Such an increase is due to the volatility of the international gold market and the fluctuations in the currency exchange market, make investors seek investment in gold as safe-haven instrument.
