Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced to continue its activities despite the current political tension. Party Chairman Barrister Gauhar has said that political issues should be resolved through political process instead of force.
Speaking to the media after meeting with the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Barrister Gauhar said that PTI will take forward its Justice March. According to him, the aim of the march is to convey the political stance to the people and the party will try to continue this activity peacefully.
He said that PTI has always assured peaceful political struggle. According to him, the party’s current strategy also prioritizes taking a political path instead of confrontation.
Barrister Gohar, referring to its parliamentary role, said that PTI did not get the justice it was expecting even within the parliament. Now the party will go among the people and put forward its position.
He said that the political problems in the country cannot be solved in any non-political way. Political forces should take matters forward through dialogue with each other.
The PTI Chairman also expressed concern over the issue of meetings with the founder PTI. He said that various people are claiming to have met the founder PTI, but according to the party’s knowledge, the meeting could not take place.
Barrister Gohar said that the situation of meetings with the founder PTI is an important matter for the party. According to him, it is necessary to come out with a clear situation in this regard so that speculations can be put to rest.
He said that progress will also be made on other political issues along with the Insaf March. The party will review the political situation in the coming days and move forward with its strategy.
The PTI chairman’s statement makes it clear that the party wants to maintain political pressure along with protest activity. However, he emphasized the need for a peaceful political process and a political solution and also clarified the position that the current differences should be resolved through dialogue and democratic procedures.
