Lahore: The good news for Pakistan Railway employees is that after the approval of the Finance Division, the government has issued notification of the Disparity Reduction Allowance and Ad Hoc Relief Allowance. Under this, railway officers and other employees will be given 30% of the Disparity Reduction Allowance and 10% ad hoc relief according to the basic salary.
These allowances will be given on the basis of the basic salary of July 1, 2022. However, employees have demanded that these allowances be paid in accordance with the current July 2024 salaries so that real relief can be found in rising inflation. Employees say the money paid on the basis of old salary cannot meet the current needs.
Railway employees have requested the government to properly increase salaries and allowances, keeping in view their economic conditions so that their lives can be improved.
