Islamabad: The December 8171 Benazir Kifalat payments are about to begin, and the government has announced that the money will be provided to all eligible households before the end of the year. This time, the payments have been phased across the country to maintain transparency and make the payment system work more smoothly.

According to the official announcement, the payments in Punjab will continue from December 10 to 20, in Sindh from December 12 to 24, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from December 14 to 22, while in Balochistan from December 15 to 22.

Where will the money be received?

The eligible individuals will be able to get their instalment from two sources:

  • BISP campsites
  • Partner banks such as HBL, Bank Alfalah, Easypaisa, and HBL Connect

The authorities have clarified that no commission or additional fee can be charged at any location, and if there is a complaint of deduction at any location, it should be reported immediately on the 8171 helpline.

Which families have been included?

Only those families who have completed NSER verification and who have been declared eligible according to the BISP score are eligible for the payment. Women are registered as the primary beneficiaries in the program, so CNIC will always be required for them.

How to check payment through CNIC

  • Open the 8171 web portal and enter your CNIC
  • Click on “Check Eligibility”
  • The payment details will appear on the screen immediately
  • Alternative method: Write CNIC and send it to 8171

What’s new this time?

  • Several new features have been added in this phase, including:
  • Improved biometric security at more centres
  • Digital receipts that will make records more transparent
  • Special counters for women, senior citizens and differently-abled people
  • Improved security and seating arrangements

According to the government, over 9 million families will receive financial assistance in December, and this move will prove to be a major relief for millions of poor households by the end of the year.
