ISLAMABAD: In a prestigious ceremony held at the Presidency in Islamabad, Civil Awards were awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in various fields of the country. At the ceremony, the president gave awards to outstanding individuals in various fields, including defense, politics, education, economy, science, medicine, arts, media, and sports.
Former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was posthumously awarded the country’s highest civil award “Nishan Pakistan,” which was received by his daughter Sanam Bhutto. His granddaughter Asifa Bhutto Zardari was also present on the occasion. The award was given in recognition of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s political contributions to the country, constitutional reforms and foreign policy.
Moreover, renowned economist and social worker Sultan Ali Ullah was awarded “Nishan-e-Service” in recognition of his socio-economic services, while educationist Syed Abedi was given “Sitara-e-Imtiaz” for his outstanding performance in the field of education.
The ceremony was held on the occasion of Pakistan Day, which was attended by high government officials, civil and military leadership and other dignitaries. This process of recognizing those who have made outstanding contributions to the country is a recognition of their efforts in national development and will be a beacon for future generations.
