Lahore: Pakistan Railways has released the details of train timings and fares for passengers traveling from Lahore to Karachi. At present, several express trains are running between the two cities on a daily basis, including Karachi Express, Karakoram Express, Green Line, and Shah Hussain Express.
The Karakoram Express departs from Lahore at 3:00 pm daily and reaches Karachi at 10:25 am the next day. The journey takes about 19 hours, and during this time the journey stops at 7 stations.
The Karachi Express departs from Lahore at 6:00 pm and reaches Karachi at 1:00 am the next day.
The Green Line Express travels from Lahore to Karachi in about 18 hours.
The Shah Hussain Express, formerly known as the Night Coach, completes the journey from Lahore to Karachi in about 18 hours.
The fares of various trains from Lahore to Karachi for 2025 are as follows:
Economy Class: Rs 3050 to Rs 4650
AC Standard: Rs 5,800 to Rs 9,350
AC Business: Rs 8350 to Rs 11700
AC Sleeper: Rs 10,500 to Rs 12,000
Passengers can choose the train and class according to their convenience. The Pakistan Railways website or related applications can be used to book tickets.
