Lahore, Pakistan— Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has described the suspected theft of £190 million as the “biggest heist in Pakistan’s history.” At a news meeting in Lahore, Tarar charged the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of serious crime. “We had always said that the hands of PTI’s leadership are stained with corruption,” he declared.

Tarar claimed that PTI officials were involved in taking expensive things, like watches, from the national budget. He compared the time when PTI was in power to when the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was in charge, saying that all major progress in the country happened during PML-N’s time. He said that the country only made progress when PML-N was in charge.

The information minister called out PTI for not caring about public problems when they were in power. Tarar said, “PTI only cared about making money and didn’t worry about people’s issues.” He stressed that the current government is dedicated to listening to people’s concerns and performing its duties as their leaders.

Tarar talked about the government’s main goals, which are improving infrastructure, providing clean water, and fixing gas and power problems. “We are here to represent you and help solve your problems.” He promised that roads will be built and problems with water and gas will be fixed.

The minister is hopeful about Pakistan’s economy, saying that inflation will go down and the country will have one of the strongest economies in the world. “The stock market is making new highs every day, and businesses are coming back to life across the country,” he said, emphasizing the government’s work to strengthen the economy.

Atta Tarar reaffirmed that the government is committed to staying in touch with the people. “We promised the public that we would stay close to them, and we are keeping that promise,” he said.
