ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly, while unanimously passing a resolution against the brutal atrocities of Israeli forces in Gaza, not only expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people but also strongly criticized the silence of the international community. Speaking in the House, Law Minister Nazir Tarar said that the persecution of Palestinians is not only a human tragedy but also a challenge to the global conscience.

Azam Nazir Tarar said that there are protests all over the world against Israel’s aggression, and the fact has become clear that whether it is Palestine or Kashmir, the voice of the oppressed cannot be suppressed by gun and force. He said that hospitals, ambulances, and aid workers were not safe, which showed the worst violations of human rights.

The resolution saluted more than 60,000 Palestinian martyrs and strongly condemned the Israeli bombardment despite the ceasefire. The text of the resolution also called for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces, calling the Israeli aggression a failure of the international community.

Taking part in the discussion, Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar said Pakistan strongly supported the petition filed by South Africa against Israel in the International Court of Justice. He paid tribute to all the countries that raised their voice in favor of the Palestinians.

Ata Tarar also praised the role of the Al-Khadmat Foundation and Jamaat-e-Islami, which sent relief supplies to Gaza. He said that although Jamaat-e-Islami is not present in Parliament at present, their services are worth mentioning, and NDMA also played an effective role in the delivery of this assistance.
