Pakistan Railways to run five special trains on Eid-ul-Adha 2025

Islamabad: Keeping in view the convenience of the citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2025, the federal government has decided to run five special Eid trains. The move is aimed at providing citizens living in remote areas an opportunity to celebrate Eid with their loved ones and facilitate inter-provincial travel.

The decision was taken on the special instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, which is being overseen by Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi himself.

According to railway officials, additional coaches are also being added to all Eid special trains. to facilitate as many passengers as possible.

The full schedule of Eid special trains is as follows:

  • The first train will depart from Karachi to Lahore at 1 pm on June 2.
  • The second train will leave Quetta for Peshawar at 10 am on June 3.
  • The third train will run from Lahore to Karachi at 5 pm on June 3.
  • The fourth train will depart from Karachi to Rawalpindi at 8 pm on June 3.
  • The fifth train will depart from Karachi to Lahore at 8 pm on June 4.

According to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Railways, the process of booking tickets for these trains online and at the station has been expedited, and citizens have been advised to reserve their seats as soon as possible to avoid any problem due to overcrowding.

Officials say that these special trains will not only reduce the transportation problems. Rather, people will get timely, cheap, and comfortable travel.

This government initiative is a clear example of public relief that will further increase the happiness of the citizens on the occasion of Eid.
