Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Orders Comprehensive Crackdown on Inflation Across the Province

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued official orders to implement an extensive battle against inflation, which will benefit all citizens throughout the province of Punjab. The government authorities under her command must enforce strict penalties against price gougers and hoarders by delivering daily updates about the situation.

During a video-link meeting, Maryam Nawaz commanded all commissioners and deputy commissioners to regulate essential commodity prices and deliver quality merchandise at reasonable rates for public customers. According to the Chief Minister, citizens must have access to accurate pricing information, so display official price lists prominently.

The Chief Secretary of Punjab received explicit directions from her to lead the crusade against price inflation and stockpiling activities. Maryam Nawaz underscored the need to keep tracking essential item supply and demand patterns while ordering prompt actions to stop hoarding practices. The comprehensive price trend evaluation reports needed to be submitted daily to enable continuous monitoring of the market conditions.

The Chief Minister declared, “All countries reduce essential commodity prices during Ramadan, so we should follow the same practice of voluntary price reductions.” Quality products will be sold for reduced prices below market rates within utility stores according to her directive. Maryam Nawaz checks daily essential commodity pricing information on the dashboard for immediate action against abnormal price changes.
