Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has rejected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent comments on negotiations, stating that they represent an “internal discussion” within the ruling cabinet and not a formal offer to PTI. Barrister Gohar emphasized that the government has not followed any official procedure to contact PTI, making it impossible to consider the PM’s proposal seriously.

He clarified that the Prime Minister’s remarks do not address PTI’s core demands, which include the release of detained party workers and the establishment of an independent commission to investigate their grievances. Barrister Gohar pointed out that despite a long list of issues with the government, including concerns over electoral mandates, PTI had only placed two key demands on the table for negotiations.

The PTI Chairman criticized the PM’s offer as irrelevant and disconnected from their priorities, asserting that informal proposals cannot be entertained. He also announced that PTI, in collaboration with other opposition parties, will continue its movement against the government, signaling no immediate resolution to the ongoing political deadlock.

Barrister Gohar’s statements underscore PTI’s insistence on formal negotiations and its commitment to holding the government accountable through sustained political pressure.
