PSX Benchmark 100 Index Experiences Volatility Amid Mixed Trading Week

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) demonstrated variable trading performance during the week since the PSX-100 Index displayed increases and decreases while showing rising market instability. The Benchmark PSX-100 Index gained 500.5 points to touch its daily peak at 113,478 points but lost 360 points before closing at 112,564.

Trading volume reached 59 million shares worth PKR 30.96 billion, while market capitalization decreased by PKR 33 billion to PKR 13.922 trillion. The index faced challenges in sustaining upward momentum since its initial high point during the past three business days as midweek developments showed reduced momentum.
