Security sources say that the network behind major terrorist acts in Pakistan is operating from Afghanistan, while these elements are backed by India. The Prime Minister made it clear in the meeting that no leniency or ambiguity will be tolerated in the response to terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that people coming from Afghan soil are involved in terrorism in Pakistan, therefore, the evacuation of illegally residing Afghans is now inevitable. He warned that any elements who become tools of external powers will be given a strong response.

He stressed that the Pakistani nation, especially the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stand firmly with the Pakistani army and the state against Indian proxies and terrorist elements. The Prime Minister directed that all necessary legal and administrative measures be implemented immediately for the complete elimination of terrorism.
