Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed the existence of the Case Assignment and Management System which aims to recover funds misappropriated through corruption while quickening justice processes. The Prime Minister emphasized the transformative power of this system during his inauguration speech to enhance both Pakistan’s judiciary and its tax recovery functions.

PM Sharif declared that the state systems remained trapped in decay for many years because the country lacked modern technology and used outdated procedures that caused billions of rupees to remain stagnant. During the last 11 months, the government dedicated its efforts to solving these issues, especially concerning funds amounting to trillions of rupees delayed in tribunals, high courts, and the Supreme Court. Every public trust through taxes must be reclaimed, according to him.

The Prime Minister praised the Law Minister together with his team for their work behind the Case Assignment and Management System while acknowledging how it will improve swift, transparent justice delivery. He declared the system an important requirement, which became necessary after tracking success in both the FBR (Federal Board of Revenue) Track and Trace System and the cement industry’s application.

PM Sharif indicated that the Track and Trace System at FBR was developed in the first place to recover taxes yet proved ineffective in previous implementations. Through initiatives of his government, this system has been revived for appropriate utilization by the authorities. He thanked both the United Nations and Canada for helping execute these reforms.

The Prime Minister announced during his speech that the Sindh High Court applied the new system to resolve cases totaling PKR 24 billion within one day. These financial resources will follow through to the national treasury system. According to the PM, additional funds of this nature must be retrieved to add to the national budget.
