ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting on Prime Minister’s Ramzan Relief Package 2025 was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, which was attended by various ministers and senior officials. The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the progress of the Ramzan relief package, according to which 63 percent of the eligible people have been provided with relief funds, while 2,224 staff members have been assigned to implement the package.

“This relief package is being extended not only to the major cities of Pakistan but also to all the beneficiaries of the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.” He added that the efforts of the State Bank, NADRA, and other concerned institutions to ensure the transparency of the package are commendable.

Shehbaz Sharif directed that a third-party audit of the project be conducted so that transparency could be further improved and this model could be adopted in other government welfare projects.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahad Khan Cheema, Ataullah Tarar, Shaza Fatima, Ali Pervaiz Malik, special assistant Haroon Akhtar, chairman NADRA, and chairman PTA.

“It is the top priority of the government to provide relief to the people, and any kind of mismanagement or negligence will not be tolerated,” the prime minister said, directing early completion of the Ramzan relief package and ensuring timely delivery of relief to the deserving people.
