Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called the FIA team that arrested human trafficker Usman Jajah to the Prime Minister’s Office and paid tribute to them on their success. The Prime Minister announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh and a shield for each member of the team.
A three-member team, including Assistant Director Shahid Majeed, who led the team, met the prime minister. Appreciating the efforts of the team, the Prime Minister said that such steps against human trafficking are very important to prevent the country from being defamed and to root out this crime.
The Prime Minister also rewarded Director IB Malik Asif with Rs 10 lakh and appreciated his efforts in action against human trafficking. Shehbaz Sharif stressed that the incidents of human trafficking are not only bringing disrepute to Pakistan, but it is an injustice to the poor and helpless people.
The Prime Minister said if such effective operations had been carried out against human trafficking earlier, this crime would not have flourished so much. He vowed that the smugglers who looted the money of the poor would be brought to the end and every possible step would be taken to root out human trafficking.
