Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi told a press briefing that talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban are ongoing in Istanbul and the mediators are discussing our demands point by point with the Taliban, while the Pakistani delegation has provided the mediators with its fair and evidence-based information, which is related to the Fitna al-Kharijite — The spokesperson said that Pakistan is committed to ensuring that Afghan soil is not used for terrorism and will not make any final comment or interpretation until the outcome of the talks.

He appreciated the mediation efforts of Turkey and Qatar on this occasion and clarified that Pakistan will continue to take all necessary steps for the protection of its sovereignty and people.
