SRVI, MCB, OGDC, SCBPL and NESTLE were the stocks that played a positive role in individual stocks’ performance, while UBL, FFC, ENGRO, HUBC and LUCK did the most to drag the index down.

The other one, though, is the Islamic investment-orientated KMI 30 index that also posted a loss. PRL, OGDC, GHNI and GAL were the positive contributors to the index, whereas ENGRO, FFC, HUBC, LUCK and PPL were the worst performers.

In general, investors took a wait-and-see approach during Wednesday’s session, which pushed markets further down. Investors could be closely watching the companies in the coming days for their financial results, economic data and government policy news.
