Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that Jamaat-e-Islami stands with the people of Karachi and is making full efforts for the development of the city despite its limited resources.

Addressing a function held in Karachi, he said that development projects have been restarted in nine towns. However, he raised the question of where the S-3 project is missing? While the dream of Karachi Circular Railway has not yet become a reality.

Hafiz Naeem said that the Red Line project has destroyed University Road, and the Orange Line has also not been able to cover the entire Orangi Town. According to him, the public is being confused with false promises by bringing 400 buses.

He said that despite winning the local body elections, the PPP has created obstacles in the transfer of powers. He said that the party made its mayor through arbitrary delimitation and rigging, while the public representatives have still not been given full powers.

The Jamaat-e-Islami chief also said that the garbage collection system is managed by the Sindh government, but the people are still paying for the collection of garbage from their homes.

He accused the government of obstructing the work of the town administration through the city warden. Hafiz Naeem said that the representatives of the Jamaat-e-Islami are going beyond their limits and working on sewage, sanitation and development projects themselves.

He clarified that the development projects of Karachi have been delayed for the last 15 years, the PPP has only promoted the politics of occupation. He said that a new cycle of construction and development has started during the Jamaat-e-Islami era, and we will bring back its educational and civil rights to this city.
