Submarine cable repair complete, PTCL announces restoration of internet

Karachi: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has announced that the International Cable Consortium has completed the repair work of the repeater installed in the sea cable. Now the speed and connectivity of internet service has been restored across the country.

According to PTCL, the repair operation began at 11 am on October 14, and this process continued for about 18 hours. During this time, users faced slow or fluctuating internet speeds.

After the repair, PTCL says that the network is now working with excellent performance and online access has improved. The company apologized to users and thanked them for their patience and cooperation.

It is also worth mentioning that PTCL manages three submarine optical fiber cable networks that provide international internet connectivity to Pakistan.
