Lahore: The Punjab government has announced strict measures to ensure implementation of the winter vacations, and has declared the opening of any school during the vacations unacceptable.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has said that if a complaint is received about opening schools during the vacations, action will be taken against the responsible school administration as well as the concerned officers.
He said that written instructions have already been issued to government and private educational institutions, which clearly state that teaching activities should not be held during the winter vacations.
The Education Minister urged teachers and school administration to fully comply with government orders to avoid any legal action.
According to education experts, strict implementation of the vacations keeps the academic calendar balanced and has a positive impact on the mental and physical health of students.
