Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a special meeting held in Lahore today, the focus of which was the “e-Business” programme running under PITB. In the meeting, they were given a detailed briefing on how the process of business approvals would be expedited through this programme.
They informed that a strict deadline of two weeks has been set for the activation of this project, and all departments will work together to provide NOC (approval) quickly and under one roof.
Maryam Nawaz said that the district administration and departments should take early decisions on these applications, and based on this work, they will be reviewed through additional marks.
Along with this, the Chief Minister announced that she herself will chair a review meeting on this subject every fortnight so that the continuity of implementation is maintained.
She clarified that the elimination of “red tape” is her priority and change is possible overnight through e-business — what better joy can there be than this if someone gets the right to do so?
Maryam Nawaz added that getting approval for a business takes years, which discourages people — hence, it is necessary to remove the weaknesses of the system.
They believe that the public’s trust in the government and the system should be restored, and every citizen should feel like the state is their mother.
