PTI will hold a nationwide protest tomorrow

Islamabad: A new stir arose in the national political atmosphere when sources revealed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has taken a final decision to observe a “Black Day” across the country tomorrow against the 27th Constitutional Amendment. According to the party plan, protest demonstrations will be held in constituencies of all provinces including Punjab immediately after the Friday prayers, where workers will raise their voices by tying black bands on their arms. Ticket holders and members of the assembly have been instructed to ensure participation in their respective constituencies.

On the other hand, a few days ago, the leader of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, had also taken a strong stand against the same amendment. He announced that his party is launching an organized and peaceful protest movement from Friday, the aim of which is to strengthen public opinion against the government’s decisions.

Achakzai said he would send letters to foreign ambassadors to inform them about the situation. According to him, respect for democracy is a universal principle, and the public mandate cannot be ignored in Pakistan.
