Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned home after completing a one-day emergency visit.
The Prime Minister was welcomed at the airport by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During his stay, he held an important meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli aggression on Qatar and expressed complete solidarity with the Qatari people. He said that Pakistan-Qatar relations are long-standing and based on trust and Islamabad has always stood by Doha and will continue to stand by Doha.
On this occasion, the regional situation and Israel’s unjustified attacks on various countries were also discussed. The two leaders agreed to establish peace in the Middle East and further promote mutual cooperation.
