Lahore: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Pak Business Express, said that Pakistan has made significant progress not only in the field of railways but also in defense, diplomacy and economy.

He said that Pakistan gave a historic defeat to India in the war, and the country’s prestige has increased at the global level. He said that “Pakistan’s forces fought the enemy with courage and skill, and US President Trump himself said that they stopped the war.”

The Prime Minister, while mentioning the second phase of CPEC “CPEC-II”, said that Pakistan is making great progress in infrastructure and transport in collaboration with China, while relations with the US are also improving.

Speaking on the economic front, the Prime Minister said that inflation and policy rates have significantly reduced, which has brought relief to the common citizen. “All this is the result of teamwork, and this journey is still ongoing.”

Regarding the railways, he said that the Business Express is for common passengers, it has been renovated in European style. “We plan to run similar modern trains in other cities of the country as well,” the Prime Minister said.
