Federal Cabinet approves lifting ban on new gas connections


Islamabad: The federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved lifting the ban on new gas connections. Federal Minister for Energy Ali Pervaiz Malik, while holding a press conference after the cabinet meeting, said that this decision has been taken in view of public convenience.

The energy minister further said that the cost of providing RLNG connections will be about 35 percent less than imported LPG. The cabinet has also considered proposals to transfer consumers who have already applied to RLNG
