Afghan Taliban failed to fulfill promises, Pakistan’s position is clear: Attaullah Tarar

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has said that Pakistan will not back down from its principled position and the responsibility for controlling terrorism originating from Afghan soil lies directly with the Afghan government.

In a statement issued on X (formerly Twitter), he said that the Afghan Taliban have not implemented the promises made under the Doha Peace Agreement, due to which the prospects for peace in the region have been affected. Attaullah Tarar said that Pakistan has goodwill towards the Afghan people and wants lasting peace to be established in Afghanistan, however, Islamabad will not support any move that is against the interests of the Afghan people or neighboring countries.
