Islamabad: At a high-level meeting held in Islamabad, Pakistan has decided that the issue of terrorism will be effectively taken up with the Government of Afghanistan through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this meeting, Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi, while informing the decision to the Counter-Terrorism Committee, made it clear that all institutions and stakeholders are on the same page to deal with the growing threat of terrorism in the country.

The interior minister stressed on the occasion that consultation of the provinces in counter-terrorism measures would be ensured and all possible help would be provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to deal with the security challenges faced by them. He informed that the process of reorganization of Frontier Constabulary is underway, and it is being converted into National Reserve Police so that the capacity of law enforcement agencies can be increased.
