ISLAMABAD: In a welcome move for countless struggling families, the government has announced the latest installment of financial assistance under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Eligible women across the country are set to receive Rs. 13,500, with funds being disbursed in phases directly into their accounts. This initiative aims to provide crucial relief to households grappling with the relentless pressures of inflation and rising daily expenses.

BISP officials have confirmed that beneficiaries who are already registered with the program can easily verify their payment status by sending their CNIC number to 8171. This streamlined process aims to ensure a smooth and efficient distribution of funds.

However, a key directive has been issued for those with outdated information: women whose details aren’t current are urged to promptly visit their nearest BISP office. Updating their information is essential to avoid any delays in receiving this vital support.

A Lifeline for Families Under Pressure

A spokesperson highlighted that this financial aid is specifically designed to be a lifeline for families battling the high cost of living, particularly those facing challenges with children’s education expenses and securing basic necessities like groceries.

In a critical advisory, officials have cautioned the public to remain vigilant. They’ve emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate personal information and warned against falling victim to fraudulent agents or scams. All beneficiaries are advised to only verify information and messages through official BISP channels to ensure the security of their entitlements. This timely disbursement is expected to provide significant relief as families continue to navigate the current economic climate.
