Islamabad: Taking an important step, the country’s political leadership met at the Presidential Palace today, in which President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their joint commitment to the country’s stability and development.
Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, and Azam Nazir Tarar; Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi; and Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah also participated in the meeting.
According to sources, political tensions, economic challenges, and the security situation were discussed in detail in the meeting. On this occasion, the Prime Minister apprised the President of the steps taken by the government to improve the economy.
The two leaders agreed to move forward in harmony to establish peace and order in the country, eliminate terrorism, and revive the economy. The message conveyed in the meeting was that Pakistan’s leadership is united in the national interest, transcending political differences.
