PM Shehbaz Sharif meets business community, announces monthly consultations

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said in a meeting with prominent business figures that the private sector will be made a permanent part of the consultative process for the development of the country’s economy. During this important meeting held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister announced consultations with the business community every month and said that their suggestions are of great importance for the country’s economic decisions.

The meeting discussed in detail the issues of increasing exports, promoting investment, industrial development, providing employment, and economic stability. The Prime Minister said that economic stability is the result of the tireless work of the government team, now the priority is to put the economy on the path of development. Business leaders, while describing the budget as people-friendly and suitable for investment, said that the government showed steadfastness in negotiations with the IMF.

Steps like digital reforms of the FBR, speeding up the clearance of goods at ports, and making the Gwadar port functional were also appreciated. The Prime Minister expressed his determination that constant contact will be maintained with experts from every sector and the journey of development will be decided through mutual cooperation.
