ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) would start flying to Europe again. This is a big step forward for the national airline after a break of more than four years.

At a gathering, Khawaja Asif was proud that PIA was back in the skies over Europe, saying, “The green flag has once again started flying in the skies of Europe.” He also said that soon there would be direct trips to the UK, which would make it easier for people to travel and do business in Pakistan.

The Defense Minister told everyone that PIA flight PK-749 was leaving for Paris with 323 people on board, which showed how popular the return of service was. “The Paris flight achieved 100 percent booking, reflecting passengers’ trust and eagerness to see PIA reconnect with European destinations,” he said.

This comes after PIA’s European operations were put on hold for a long time. They were stopped in the middle of 2020 because of safety worries made by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The return of these flights shows that the national carrier is once again committed to following the rules and doing a great job with its operations.

When direct flights to Paris start up again, they should make it easier for tourists, business travelers, and people living in Europe to get in touch with each other. Passengers and people in the industry have praised the move, seeing it as a step toward PIA’s global position coming back to life.

As Khawaja Asif celebrated this success, he stressed that the government was committed to making sure that the airline industry continued to get better. The news has given people more hope that PIA will be able to add more foreign lines, including soon-to-be-planned services to the UK.

Europe’s skies are now open to PIA again. This is a big step forward for the airline as it tries to regain its status as Pakistan’s top carrier.
